Helena, MT – The consequences of Tim Sheehy’s political allies' decades-long efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade continue to ripple across the country. This week an Alabama court ruling effectively ended families' ability to access fertility treatments, once again taking away individual freedoms and putting politicians in the middle of deeply personal medical decisions.
Tim Sheehy has made it clear he is hellbent on stripping away Montanawomen’s reproductive freedom. Sheehy called abortion murder and is endorsed by Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA), which stated in May that they have a national abortion ban “litmus test” for any candidate they endorse. Sheehy is the only Republican Senate candidate in a competitive race to receive an endorsement from SBA this cycle.
In the wake of extreme restrictions on reproductive freedom like Alabama’s embryo ruling and draconian abortion bans like in Texas, a reminder that Sheehy’s support for an abortion ban could pave the way for these attacks in Montana.
