Tim Sheehy Dodges Questions from Press; Refuses to Back Federal IVF Protections

Sheehy’s campaign claimed “no one is talking about banning IVF” – but his endorsers, SBA Pro-Life America, are doing exactly that
 

Helena, MT – In new reporting from the Billings Gazette, Tim Sheehy refused to go on the record backing federal protections for fertility treatment and falsely claimed via spokesperson that “no one is talking about banning [IVF].” This statement is a lie – Sheehy’s own endorser, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA), has come out in support of blocking IVF treatment for American families.

After the Alabama court ruling effectively ended Alabama families' ability to access fertility treatments, SBA said Alabama’s court “made the correct decision” and came out against a legislative solution that would allow Alabama clinics to restart IVF treatment. SBA then opposed legislation that would create federal IVF treatment protections.

Sheehy said he was “honored” by SBA’s endorsement and refused to support federal IVF protections, so Montanans are right to be worried about Sheehy’s anti-reproductive freedom stance.
