Statement from Montana’s Previously Pledged DNC Delegates Endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris’ Nomination for President

Helena, MT – The previously-pledged Montana Delegates to the DemocraticNational Convention, who will cast their votes on the virtual roll call, released the following statement endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race:

"We are proud to support Vice President Kamala Harris as our Party's presidential nominee and enthusiastically endorse her as the next President of the United States."

The delegates who will vote on the virtual roll call are those who, according to Party rules, were previously pledged to support President Joe Biden’s nomination. These delegates were elected at the Montana Democratic Party’s platform convention in Havre in June, and do not include Montana’s automatic delegates to the National Convention. 

Montana’s delegation will travel to Chicago for the Democratic National Convention in August, where delegates from across the country will officially select the party’s nominees for president and vice president for the 2024 presidential race.
