Rosendale Wants to Control Your Health Care Decisions

Helena, MT – Rep. Matt Rosendale, Republican candidate for MT02, is one of the most radical, anti-choice members of the US congress. Despite the fact that nearly 60% of Montanans believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases, Rosendale has ignored the will of his constiuents and continued to doggedly pursue and champion a radical, anti-choice agenda.
Rosendale voted against the Ensuring Women’s Right to Reproductive Freedom Act, which would prevent any restrictions for women crossing state lines to receive reproductive health care. Matt Rosendale wants the government to tell you when you can and cannot travel for lifesaving reproductive care.
Rosendale sent a letter to the VA urging the department to not provide reproductive care and safe abortion access to our veterans. Matt Rosendale has tried to strip reproductive health care away from our veterans.
Rosendale voted against guaranteeing access to contraception without the government’s interference. Matt Rosendale wants the government to control and restrict your access to contraception.
Rosendale called the Dobbs decision that reversed Roe v. Wade and triggered a cascade of radical abortion bans across the US “nothing short of a historic victory,” and promised it “was just a first step.”
“While Rep. Rosendale is radically anti-choice, his constituents are not. 60% of Montanans support access to legal abortions and reproductive health care,” says Sheila Hogan, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party. “Montanans deserve a representative who will listen to them, and protect their constitutional right to privacy– not divide our state further on their radical pursuit of control.”
