Quoting Communist Dictator, MTGOP Encourages Election Deniers to Become Election Judges

Helena, MT –  Missoula County Republicans are quoting Soviet Communist Dictator Joseph Stalin on their website and encouraging 2020 election deniers to become election judges. 

The GOP website urges election deniers to become election judges, stating, “If you found the results of the 2020 elections dubious, you're not alone. we are actively vetting and enrolling election judges to make sure that every vote counts.”

This is followed by a quote they attribute to Stalin, “Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the vote, do.”

This follows the Gallatin County Republicans' unhinged save-the-date for an annual fundraiser that called the hundreds of thousands of hardworking Montanans who rely on social services ‘peasant families’.

“First they call 1 in 4 Montanans ‘peasant families’ and now they’re quoting a murderous, communist dictator,” said Executive Director of the Montana Democratic Party Sheila Hogan. “Does the Montana GOP truly believe ‘those who vote decide nothing?’ If that’s the case, they’ve lost their minds, and their agenda should give all Montanans reason to worry about the future of our democracy.”
