Out-of-Stater Navigator: Tim Sheehy Continues to Lie About His Business Record
Once again, Tim Sheehy made it clear that Montanans can’t trust him. This week, he lied about his business record and hid behind an extreme anti-abortion group that is working alongside him to take away Montanans’ reproductive freedoms. Shady Sheehy will do anything but be honest about who he is and what he believes.
SHEEHY “SAYS HE PUT EMPLOYEES FIRST—AS FORMER WORKERS SUE”
New reporting from the Daily Kos highlighted Sheehy’s false claims of running a successful business and taking care of his employees while two former employees are in the middle of suing him.
At a recent campaign event, Sheehy said, “as a small business owner, you know, you don't balance the budget in your business, you don't get paid. I've been there. I've gone years without a paycheck before, when I've made sure my team gets paid first, I'll get paid later.”
But, “some of his former employees would dispute that” claim, as Sheehy is being sued by former employees who “allege that Sheehy, his brother, and their companies defrauded them out of potentially millions of dollars.”
Sheehy also failed to mention that he took a $5 million salary while his company reported $77 million losses and that two of his former employees are suing him for allegedly “defraud[ing] them out of potentially millions of dollars.”
OUT-OF-STATE ANTI-ABORTION GROUP POURS RESOURCES INTO MONTANA TO PROP UP SHEEHY
New reporting from the Helena Independent Record highlighted how Sheehy’s extreme anti-abortion endorser Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA) is doing everything they can to strip away Montanans’ reproductive freedoms and prop up Sheehy.
SBA only endorses candidates, like Sheehy, who back a national abortion ban.SBA says this election is “the most pivotal election on the issue of abortion to date" and is spending big across Montana to “deploy over 50 field teams” while an independent fact checking organization calls out Sheehy for lying about Senator Jon Tester’s record.
