Out-of-Stater Navigator: Sheehy Dodges Questions While He Lies About His Shady Business Record
Shady Sheehy’s lies continue to catch up with him. After spending the last year campaigning on his business “successes,” new reporting shone an even brighter spotlight on Sheehy’s shady business practices: Under his watch, his company faced historic losses and carried out questionable business conduct. And now, his company’s “viability” is uncertain.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW NBC AND WASHINGTON POST REPORTING UNCOVERING SHEEHY’S LIES ABOUT HIS BUSINESS
Here’s what you need to know about NBC News and the Washington Post’s reporting: Sheehy “points to his job creation and entrepreneurial skills as among his qualifications for the Senate [...] Recent events, however, raise questions about his firm's viability and its efforts to get government contracts.”
Bridger Aerospace falsely certified itself as a “socially and economically disadvantaged company” in “seeking to win contracts.”
The vast majority of a Gallatin County bond Bridger Aerospace secured – $134 million of the $160 million – ended up going to paying investors (who are also wealthy out-of-state campaign donors), even though it was marked to go to funding planes and hangars.
The largest investor in Sheehy’s company, Blackstone, is now cashing out and bailing on the company – and bankrolling Sheehy’s campaign.
This is not the first time that Sheehy has received scrutiny for his business practices. Previous reporting has also detailed how Sheehy lied about "bootstrapping" his business, and how his heavy reliance on government contracts could create conflicts of interest.
VIDEO: TIM IGNORES QUESTIONS ABOUT ABRUPT RESIGNATION FROM HIS COMPANY
At a recent campaign stop, Sheehy was asked why he was pushed out of Bridger Aerospace and if he would sell his company shares if elected to the Senate. Sheehy ignored her questions.
CAN YOU CALL YOURSELF A “SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSMAN” IF YOUR COMPANY IS ON THE BRINK OF COLLAPSE?
In four TV ads, a campaign mailer, his website, and multiple interviews, Sheehy has touted the successes of his company – but recent bombshell investigationsrevealed that Sheehy’s claims to Montana voters about his business chops are up for debate.
