Rosendale and Sheehy take shots at each other as Republicans brace for their worst nightmare

Helena, MT – A “brutal,” contentious GOP primary in the Montana U.S. Senate race seems to be “coming soon” – and Matt Rosendale and Tim Sheehy are already descending into a nasty, no-holds-barred brawl.

The Messenger: Matt Rosendale’s Fundraising Emails Suggest A Senate Campaign Announcement is Coming Soon

  • A review of Rosendale’s recent fundraising emails by The Messenger reveals that Rosendale is regularly attacking Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell by name.

  • He argues that the “establishment is lining up to install another member of the Washington uniparty” in one email, and in others said that Montanans will reject the “McConnell-Biden establishment.”

  • “The same RINO Establishment that is trying to force through a continuing resolution for the Biden Regime is ALSO trying to force an out-of-touch Senate candidate onto the people of Montana… It’s critical that we stand up to them and make our voices heard!”

  • And Wednesday night, in an email with the subject line “Election Rigging Plot Exposed,” Rosendale said that the “swamp” was forcing its candidate onto the voters.

  • Sheehy, appearing on Fox and Friends Tuesday morning, was asked about Rosendale’s criticisms of his candidacy.

  • “That’s been Matt’s narrative,” Sheehy said, responding to a question about Rosendale labeling him as the candidate of the party bosses. “There’s a difference between an outsider and an insider that nobody likes. And he’s an insider that nobody likes, who’s running for his third term in Congress, and has been a career politician – eight offices in 13 years.”
