Shady Sheehy’s busy courting Washington insiders who are hell bent on gutting Medicare and Social Security
Helena, MT – New reporting by American Journal News revealed that multimillionaire Tim Sheehy was endorsed by Americans for Prosperity, a dark money group that has called for gutting Social Security and has pressed Congress to repeal legislation that reduced the price of prescription drugs.
While Montanans count on their hard-earned Social Security checks to make ends meet and rely on Medicare to afford their life-saving medications, Sheehy is busy courting the Washington insiders who want to dismantle these critical programs.
Yet again, Sheehy is gravely out-of-touch with Montanans.

In October 2023, Americans for Prosperity signed a letter urging Congress to repeal the Medicare price negotiation program included in the Inflation Reduction Act. The program is responsible for capping out-of-pocket costs for insulin for Medicare recipients at $35 a month.
In 2022, Americans for Prosperity called for major changes to Social Security, including raising the retirement age, cutting benefits, and means-testing recipients.
The group has received large donations from the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, the trade group for Big Pharma.
