Helena, MT – The Montana Democratic Party released the following statement on the last day for candidates to file for office in Montana:

“There are several consequential races up and down the ballot in 2024 and the Montana Democratic Party couldn’t be more enthusiastic about our candidates. Running for public office requires a tremendous amount of energy, time, and resources and we are grateful to all our candidates who decided to step up and fight for everyday Montanans,” said Executive Director of the Montana Democratic Party Sheila Hogan. “The Montana GOP is the party of imposing record-high property taxes, utility rate hikes and denying a woman’s right to choose. This November, voters won’t forget their legacy of pricing Montanans out of their home state and stripping away their freedoms.”
