Helena, MT – In four TV ads, a campaign mailer, his website, and multiple interviews, Tim Sheehy has touted the successes of his company – but recent bombshell investigations revealed that Sheehy’s claims to Montana voters about his business chops are up for debate.
While Shady Sheehy campaigns on his business “success,” here’s his actual record:
Sheehy’s company is hemorrhaging cash, while he pockets multimillion-dollar bonuses. The Washington Post reported that as his company reported $77 million losses, “Sheehy has received millions of dollars in compensation” – including multimillion-dollar bonuses.
Under Sheehy’s watch, his company falsely certified itself as a “socially and economically disadvantaged company” in “seeking to win contracts,” as reported by NBC News. Sheehy’s company is funded almost entirely by government contracts.
The largest investor in Sheehy’s company, Blackstone, is now cashing out and bailing on the company. Two Blackstone board members resigned shortly before Tim Sheehy abruptly resigned as CEO.
The most recent reporting detailing Sheehy lies about his company’s success follows previous reporting outlining how he also lied about "bootstrapping" his business. Montanans can’t trust Sheehy to be truthful about his own company, and they can’t trust him in the U.S. Senate.
