Out-of-Stater Navigator: Sheehy’s Extreme Anti-Abortion Endorser Campaigns for Him in Montana
On the eve of the two year anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, Tim Sheehy’s extreme anti-abortion endorser, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA), is pouring money into Montana to ensure Montanans know that Sheehy supports a national abortion ban.
Time and time again, Montana women have rejected efforts to block their reproductive freedoms. As Montanans learn that Sheehy wants to take away their freedom to choose and is aligned with a group that has opposed federal protections for IVF treatment and birth control access, they will make certain that he is never elected.
SHEEHY’S SUPPORT FOR NATIONAL ABORTION BAN ON DISPLAY AS ANTI-ABORTION GROUP CAMPAIGNS FOR HIM IN MONTANA
New reporting from the Washington Post highlighted Sheehy’s support for a national abortion ban as SBA spends big to campaign for him in Montana.
SBA only endorses candidates that back a national abortion ban, “which has led the group to endorse fewer candidates” this cycle, according to the Washington Post. Sheehy is one of only two Senate candidates in competitive races to receive SBA’s endorsement in 2024 because of the group’s stringent abortion ban litmus test. SBA will spend “at least $92 million to reach 10 million voters in eight states this cycle,” including Montana.
MULTIMILLIONAIRE OUT-OF-STATER SHEEHY PART OF THE PROBLEM MONTANANS ARE FACING
After his recent move to Montana, Sheehy did exactly what you would expect from a multimillionaire living out his Yellowstone fantasies: He bought up luxury properties in some of the highest-priced places in Montana, from a private peninsula on Flathead Lake with a “caretakers quarters” and a sauna to a ski-in, ski-out resort in Big Sky valued at $7.7 million.
Multimillionaire Sheehy would be in the top 10 wealthiest members of Congress if elected, if not the wealthiest – and his $5 million salary means he’s making 96 times more than the average Montanan.
COLUMN: SHEEHY’S ANTI-PUBLIC LANDS STANCE UNDER SCRUTINY
After reporting revealed that Sheehy failed to disclose that he was a board member at the Property and Environmental Research Center (PERC), an organization that has advocated for privatizing public lands, Montanans are raising alarm bells about what this could mean for “the future of public lands in the Big Sky State.”
