WATCH: Rachel Maddow Torches Tim Sheehy For His Lies

Helena, MT – Last night, Rachel Maddow torched Tim Sheehy for his mounting inconsistencies and lies.
Front and center were Sheehy’s claims that he grew up in “rural” Minnesota – despite actually growing up in a multimillion-dollar lake house in the suburbs just 15 minutes from the Twin Cities where he attended an elite private school.
Maddow also brought attention to Sheehy’s multiple accounts about a gunshot wound that records say were a result of him shooting himself in the arm in a parking lot in Glacier National Park in 2015, which Sheehy now claims is a lie. Sheehy still refuses to release his medical records from that day.

“Republicans have decided to run someone against Senator Jon Tester in Montana who is a person from Minnesota. Who grew up in the suburbs of St. Paul.”
“Since he has been running against Jon Tester, though, he's made a big deal of saying that he grew up near farmland. Turns out there was maybe farmland near the multimillion dollar lake house he grew up in in suburban St. Paul. That's pretty much just like being a farmer.”
“This follows another quite unusual controversy for this MontanaSenate candidate in which he either dropped a loaded gun in a parking lot at Glacier National Park and the gun went off when it hit the ground and he shot himself in the arm, or he didn't really shoot himself in the arm by dropping a gun in the parking lot at Glacier National park, but he nevertheless went to the hospital anyway.”
“And while he did tell a U.S. park ranger that he dropped a gun in that parking lot and shot himself that day, he was actually lying about that to the ranger.”
“But whatever happened it was definitely near farmland [...] very near, you could smell it nearby, in the vicinity.”
