Helena, MT – As Montanans take to the ballot box, one thing is clear: Tim Sheehy does not understand the Montana way of life. Throughout the campaign, Sheehy has pushed plans that would change Montana for the worse.
What to know about Sheehy’s agenda:
Sheehy wants all abortion “to end tomorrow.” He opposes CI-128, the ballot measure to protect Montanans’ reproductive freedoms. And, Sheehy was caught on tape attacking young Montana women for wanting to protect their freedoms, calling them “indoctrinated” and“single-issue voters.”
Sheehy called for the “pure privatization” of the health care system, which would devastate Montana. Sheehy’s plan could shutter 49 rural hospitals across Montana, ravage Medicare, and dismantle the Affordable Care Act, forcing Montanans to pay the price for his agenda – while multimillionaires like him would be just fine.
Sheehy wants to transfer off our public lands. Don’t believe his lies: Sheehy called to remove protections for our public lands. Sheehy’s supporters said Sheehy wants to transfer public lands, and he sat on the board of a think tank that advocated for privatizing public lands – then he doctored his TV ad to hide the logo of that group.
Sheehy called to abolish the Department of Education, which would be a disaster for Montana children and families. Montanans count on federal funding to support our public schools. Sheehy’s plan would eliminate vital funding for students in rural communities.
