Helena, MT – Potential Senate candidate Tim Sheehy might be sweating his support for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investment standards as it becomes a “top political concern” in GOP primaries.

If Sheehy runs, he “will have to make it out of a GOP primary, where his
past comments about ESG standards could come back to haunt him.”

Reporting today from the
Washington Examiner found that “ESG and Republican pushback to ESG have emerged as major points of corporate and political discourse [...] ‘You’ve had every major candidate for the Republican nomination now stake out a position against ESG.’”

Scrutiny on Sheehy has continued to build. Last week,
HuffPost reported that despite trying to portray himself as a rugged westerner, Sheehy owns multimillion-dollar resort properties across the state and that “his Montana roots are still relatively young — something that can create headaches when running for public office in Big Sky Country.”
