Rosendale Votes Against Addressing Baby Formula Shortage
“For someone who pretends to be Pro-Life, Rosendale spends a lot of time voting against protecting babies.”
Helena, MT – Late last night, Montana Representative Matt Rosendale voted against the Infant Formula Supplemental Appropriations Act, which would provide targeted, emergency resources to address the shortage of infant formula in the United States.
This “no” vote is the latest in a long pattern of Matt Rosendale and Republicans actively working against solutions for working families. Earlier this year, Rosendale voted against capping the cost of insulin at $35 a month. Along with Sen. Steve Daines, Rosendale voted against the American Rescue Plan, which has saved Montanans money on everything from their health care premiums to rent or mortgage to child care costs, and more.
“As Democrats are moving quickly to pass legislation that would help families and address the shortage of baby formula, Montana Republicans are all talk and no action when it comes to making sure we have the critical resources necessary to deal with this shortage,” says Montana Democratic Party executive director Sheila Hogan. “For someone who pretends to be “pro-life,” Rosendale spends a lot of time voting against protecting babies.
