Out-of-Stater Navigator: Shady Sheehy Can’t Get the Story Straight About His Military Record

You thought Tim Sheey could make it through the summer without telling another lie about his military service? You’re wrong. Sheehy cannot be trusted – from lying about his record to opposing Montana’s ballot measure to protect reproductive freedoms, Sheehy is making clear exactly why Montanans won’t elect him this November.

SHEEHY LIES ABOUT HIS MILITARY SERVICE – AGAIN

Sheehy is telling yet another lie about his military service.

Daily Montanan reported that Sheehy claimed at a campaign event that he “parachuted into Glacier National Park as part of his military training in Montana — an activity a national park spokesperson said is not permitted.” The U.S. Navy also said they “did not have any record of parachute training in the park.”

Sheehy “did not respond to questions sent this week to two campaign staff members asking for details about the claim.”

SHEEHY WANTS ABORTION “ALL TO END TOMORROW”

New audio revealed that Tim Sheehy said he wants abortion “all to end tomorrow.” When discussing abortion, Sheehy also said: “I think it’s sinful. I think it’s terrible. I think it’s a repulsive thing to do.”

Sheehy’s extreme rhetoric on abortion aligns with his extreme position. Sheehy opposes CI-128, the ballot measure to protect Montanans’ reproductive freedoms, he wants to ban abortion nationwide, he has refused to support federal protections for IVF treatment and birth control, and he’s called abortion “murder.”

Hint: It’s not A or B!

SHEEHY CAUGHT OPPOSING ABORTION BALLOT INITIATIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Reporting from the Daily Montanan revealed that Tim Sheehy opposes CI-128, the ballot measure to protect Montanans’ reproductive freedoms, marking the first time he has spoken publicly about the initiative.

GALLATIN COUNTY BUSINESS OWNERS RELEASE LETTER CALLING FOR INVESTIGATION INTO SHEEHY’S BUSINESS PRACTICES

Gallatin County business owners, financial experts, and taxpayers sent a letterto the Gallatin County Commission and Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of the Inspector General urging them to investigate Sheehy’s business practices, in light of breaking investigative reporting from NBC News and the Washington Post

The letter outlines concerns from the Gallatin County residents about “Sheehy’s use of $160M in Gallatin County bonds largely to repay out-of-state investors instead of building hangars and investing in aircraft,” and his company falsely designating itself as a “socially and economically disadvantaged business” in a government program that offers preferential treatment for federal contracting.

SHADY SHEEHY’S INVESTIGATIONS AND LAWSUITS STACK UP

We know it’s hard to keep track of all of Sheehy’s investigations and lawsuits, so we’ve put them in one handy place:

  1. Sheehy is being sued by former employees who allege that Sheehy forced them “to sell off stock that was part of their compensation package before the company sold a subsidiary for hundreds of millions of dollars,” potentially costing them millions of dollars.

  2. Sheehy’s company is facing two investigations by law firms for potential corporate misconduct. The first investigation is focused on whether or not Sheehy’s board of directors acted for the good of the company. The second investigation will determine if Sheehy’s board, without shareholder approval, made decisions that hurt shareholder value and did not benefit his company.

  3. Sheehy’s company is also facing a securities fraud investigationby a law firm seeking to determine whether Sheehy or other senior members of his team have engaged in unlawful business practices.

  4. Sheehy is being sued for negligence after co-piloting a plane that crashed into a Florida home in 2019. The crash seriously injured a young girl who was inside the home. Now, her family is suing Sheehy for negligence, alleging that he breached his legal duty to exercise “reasonable care in flying, inspecting, maintaining, and/or operating the seaplane.” The family is seeking more than $100,000 in personal injury and property damages.
