Newly Released Platform Shows Tim Sheehy and Montana GOP Support “Complete Ban” On Abortion

The 2024 MT GOP Platform, released yesterday, calls for a “complete ban” on abortion with no exceptions
Helena, MT – Tim Sheehy and the Montana GOP support a “complete ban” on abortion with no exceptions, per the party’s 2024 platform. Sheehy attended and spoke at the Montana GOP platform convention last month.
The platform states: “We support the preservation of innocent human life at every stage of life, in all circumstances, beginning at conception through natural death [...] We support a complete ban on elective abortion.”
It is no surprise that Sheehy supports banning abortion in lockstep with the Montana Republican Party – he has already said that he wants a national abortion ban. Sheehy has previously called abortion “murder” and he has refused to support federal IVF treatment protections.
Sheehy and the Montana GOP will do everything in their power to strip away the reproductive freedoms of Montana women.
