New Platform Shows Tim Sheehy and Montana GOP Condemn IVF Treatment

The 2024 MT GOP Platform added a new plank targeting IVF treatment
 

Helena, MT – Tim Sheehy and the Montana GOP want to take away IVF treatment from Montana families, per the party’s new platform plank.

The platform now states: “We support non-embryonic stem cell research and the ethical treatment of embryos created through invitro fertilization.” Sheehy attended and spoke at the Montana GOP platform convention last month.

“Ethical treatment” of embryos is language that Republicans have long used in order to pass legislation to ban or seriously restrict IVF access.

Sheehy has a history of attacking IVF treatment – he refused to support federal IVF treatment protections.
