Helena, MT – Growing evidence suggests that the battle between out-of-staters Tim Sheehy and Matt Rosendale is nearly upon us. This week, both camps seemed to be preparing for the upcoming brawl.
SHEEHY WORRIES ABOUT BRUISING PRIMARY FIGHT
Amid Sheehy’s mounting fears of a bruising GOP primary fight with Matt Rosendale, he’s begging outside groups to bail him out. As the Helena Independent Record reported, Sheehy’s campaign posted a signal on his campaign website directing super PACs to swoop in and flood Montana airwaves – with a message that suggests the Sheehy campaign is “anticipating a formidable primary challenger.”
REPUBLICAN WORST NIGHTMARE LIKELY AS ROSENDALE INCHES CLOSER TO SENATE RUN
Rosendale continues inching closer to a Senate run. On the Vince Coglianese Show this week, Rosendale said the amount of support he has is “overwhelming” and implied he’ll be making a decision soon. With Rosendale’s entrance on the horizon, and Sheehy’s failure to launch on full display, the NRSC is about to find itself in the middle of a long, expensive mess.
ULTRAWEALTHY SHEEHY OMITS $600K CASH GIFT FROM HIS FAMILY - AGAIN
If the messy primary wasn’t causing enough concerns for Sheehy’s camp, he is facing scrutiny for conveniently forgetting to mention that his father and brother gave him $600K to start his company, Bridger Aerospace, and that his brother’s Wall Street connections paved the way for his first government contract. On Wednesday, Sheehy appeared on the Tactical Treasures Podcast and again claimed he started his company “from scratch” and that his brother and dad gave him “some mentorship,” omitting the true extent of their financial backing.
MONTANA DEMOCRATS ARE READY TO WIN
The DSCC announced their “eight figure” organizing investment in Montana and other battleground states. Montana Democrats are hitting the ground running to send Jon Tester back to the U.S. Senate and elect Democrats up and down the ballot in 2024. With this investment, the Montana Democratic Party will have the resources needed to reach Montanans and win elections everywhere — in rural Montana, Indian County, and across our cities and towns.
