Montana Democrats’ Statement on Passage of the Tax Scam

Helena—Today, Montana Democratic Party Executive Director Nancy Keenan released the following statement regarding the passage of Congress’s tax scam:

“This week, multimillionaires Steve Daines and Greg Gianforte voted to put the profits of huge corporations and the wealthy before the needs of Montana’s working families. This tax scam will raise health care premiums, cut Medicare for Montana seniors, and add $1.5 trillion to the deficit, mortgaging our children’s future so the super-rich can line their pockets. It’s hard to imagine a more un-Montanan piece of legislation, but Gianforte and Daines have proved once again that the profits of out-of-state special interests and millionaires are more important to them than the families they represent.”
