Montana Democrats Have a Strong Plan for Montana Working Families
Dem Candidates introduce ‘Core of the Platform’
Helena, MT – This weekend, Montana Democrats came together to confirm the 2022 Party Platform and introduced the “Core of the Platform,” a distilled version of the platform’s values, vision, and unwavering optimism for Montana’s future, and a six-point promise to voters. The proceedings were well attended, timely and cooperative, led by legislators, board members, and presiding chair Mary Moe.
At the closing of the general assembly, six legislators and candidates announced the ‘Core of the Platform.’ Having listened to what the party and its delegates advocated for during the convention and from the very planks that were agreed upon, Democratic Legislative candidates pulled together a brief summary of some of the most resonant and pressing issues that are facing the state.
The Democrats will champion working people and our local economies, and defend and deliver solutions for the housing affordability crisis, property tax relief, affordable child care, accessible mental health care, and the defense of the Montana state constitution.
“Democrats came together from across the state to reaffirm our commitment to Montana’s working families. We are united moving into November.” says Sheila Hogan, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party. “The recent Republican convention revealed internal strife and a radical agenda. This weekend, the Democrats laid out a very different vision for Montana– one that champions working families, fights for solutions, and invests for the future of the Last Best Place.”
