Liberty County marks the third new rural Democratic Central Committee formed this year
Helena, MT – Today, the Montana Democratic Party announced the formation of the Liberty County Democratic Central Committee. This represents the third newly-established Democratic Central Committee this year, demonstrating the Democratic Party’s organizing efforts in Montana’s rural areas and grassroots energy ahead of the 2024 election cycle.
“We came together to reactivate the Liberty County Democratic Central Committee because we are alarmed by Republican efforts during Montana’s legislative session and in Congress to throw working families under the bus, and by the direction our state is going under their leadership,” said Liberty County Democratic Central Committee chair Margaret Novack. “Liberty County Democrats are organizing our community to fight for issues all Montanans care about: access to affordable medical and long-term care, funding public education, and getting money out of politics.”
“Liberty County is the third newly formed Democratic Central Committee this year,” says Sheila Hogan, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party. “Montana Democrats are fired up, we’re organized, and we’re hitting the ground running to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.”
