Montana Democratic Party Announces New Hire, Continues to Gear Up for November
Helena, MT – The Montana Democratic Party continues to grow stronger, adding staff and expanding capacity ahead of the highly anticipated 2020 general election.
Matt Fidel, a veteran of two campaign cycles in Iowa, is joining the MDP as Deputy Communications Director. In this role, Matt will highlight the threats that a Republican Governor would present to strong public schools, public lands access, and quality affordable healthcare — especially as a pandemic sweeps the nation and the state.
“I’m thrilled to be joining such an outstanding team at MDP, and I can’t wait to spend every day fighting to make sure that Montana Democrats keep the Governor’s Mansion blue this November,” said MDP Deputy Communications Director Matt Fidel. “A Greg Gianforte administration would threaten to roll back the hard fought progress Montanans have made, as he looks to slash access to quality, affordable healthcare, block off public lands, and undermine our public schools. Montanans are going to reject his radical agenda — and I’m looking forward to helping them do it.”
“We’re so excited to be adding Matt to our team. 2020 is going to be a critical year for Montana, and we know Matt is going to play a huge role in our success,” said MDP Executive Director Sandi Luckey. “Montana Democrats are stronger than ever, and we’re looking forward to channeling our grassroots energy into victories up and down the ballot this November.”
