MDP Statement Following the Passage of Medicaid Expansion

Helena, MT– The Montana Democratic Party released the following statement on the passage of Medicaid Expansion: 

“Once again, Montana Democrats delivered for working families and guaranteed healthcare to more than 75,000 people by passing Medicaid Expansion,” said Interim Executive Director Justin Ailport. “While the GOP is busy bowing to the oligarchs, Democrats continue to prioritize the people and their livelihoods.” 

“This is a massive victory for Montanans across the entire state and we’re grateful to all lawmakers who voted to support this bill,” Ailport added. “Democrats have been working tirelessly on lifting the sunset on Medicaid Expansion so that all families have access to healthcare without fear of losing their coverage. Thanks to Democrats, this goal has become a reality.”
