ICYMI: Tim Sheehy Lobbied Against Republican Privacy Bills Restricting Drone Use

Helena, MT – Earlier this week, new reporting revealed that Tim Sheehy lobbied to kill Republican privacy legislation adding restrictions to drone use in the Montana legislature that would have hurt his business. 

Here’s a recap of the reporting:

• Sheehy “worked to kill a pair of drone privacy bills in the state legislature while he profited off developing and contracting drone technology to the federal government.”
   

• Sheehy leveraged his connections and “coordinated with a national drone lobbying group” to urge lawmakers to block the bill in the Montana legislature which would have established protections for public privacy from drones.
   

• Sheehy was courting business with the Chinese drone company DJI, which had been handing data over to the Chinese communist government. 

Montanans value their privacy, but all Tim Sheehy cares about is his bottom line.
