Helena, MT – At Friday’s Children, Families, Health and Human Services Interim Committee Hearing, the Director of DPHHS was asked, point blank, if there were any plans to privatize Montana State Hospital in Warm Springs, which provides vital care to some of Montana’s most at-risk patients. “No. There is not a plan to privatize the State Hospital… At this point in time.”

“What does ‘At this point in time’ mean?” Sheila Hogan, executive director of the Montana Democratic Party asks. “What will the plan be tomorrow? In two weeks? In a year? Montana communities, patients, and families deserve clear and straight-forward answers. Gianforte’s administration does not get to hide behind doublespeak and vague, consultant-tested statements when it's this important.”
