What Montanans Are Saying About Dishonest Daines
Helena, MT – Senator Steve Daines has spent his years in Washington cozying up to party leaders and prioritizing special interests and corporate donors instead of fighting for Montanans.
From voting to give massive tax breaks to the wealthy and corporations and sabotage health care access to serving asChina’s ambassador in Congressand voting nearly 95% of the time with Mitch McConnell, Daines has shown that he won’t stand up and do what’s right for Montana – and Montanans have noticed.

Here’s what Montanans across the Big Sky have been saying:

Billings Gazette: Don’t be fooled about health care
“Don’t be fooled into thinking that Sen. Daines and Rep. Gianforte care about your health. They have fought from day one to overturn the Affordable Care Act which provides thousands of Montanans and millions of Americans Medicaid coverage, protection for pre-existing health conditions, affordable insurance coverage when you lose your job, etc.”

Billings Gazette: Daines isn’t honest with us
“Why can’t Sen. Steve Daines stop lying to Montanans about his awful record representing us? ‘Less government’ Daines is actually running an ad claiming that he’s worked to expand health care for Montana citizens. It’s a blatant lie. Daines has voted to get rid of the Affordable Care Act and voted to deny people from insurance with pre-existing conditions.”

Billings Gazette: Turn Montana into blue state
We need to get rid of Trump, Daines, Gianforte and Rosendale, and turn Montana into a blue state.”

Bozeman Daily Chronicle: Daines’ claim of returning jobs to U.S. skirts truth
When Daines was working for Proctor & Gamble he spent six years in China opening factories for P&G. Daines later went to work for RightNow Technologies. One of their products was software that made it easier for U.S. companies to move jobs out of the country. Daines does not have a history of bringing jobs back from China, quite the opposite.”

Bozeman Daily Chronicle: Would be nice to ask Sen. Daines questions in person
“Sen. Steve Daines is running television ads saying he is ‘leading efforts to break our dependence on China’ for drugs that are being manufactured there and then shipped to the United States. Anyone out there remember that Steve Daines, a chemical engineer, worked for Proctor and Gamble for six years in Hong Kong and China? Should we be asking him what his job description was in China, and how many of those Chinese jobs he helped create, the ones he is now theoretically trying to bring back?”

Bozeman Daily Chronicle: Senate can no longer withstand lack of leadership
We are now all painfully experiencing the lack of leadership in our elected officials, particularly in the Senate under Speaker Mitch McConnell…Our only recourse is to return the Congress to a body that serves the people. To do this we must replace Trump and give back the Senate to the Democrats who as a majority we must urge to choose a Senate leader that serves all Americans. As Montanans we can help by replacing Steve Daines.”
