TONIGHT: PSC Candidate Jim Brown Champions Dark Money in PBS Documentary

Helena, MT – Tonight at 9pm on Montana PBS stations, candidate for Public Service Commission, Jim Brown makes his star turn as a campaign finance villain in the award-winning Montana-focused documentary “Dark Money.” The film examines campaign finance laws in Montana and across the country, and follows the corruption case against former Montana state legislator Art Wittich.

Brown represented American Tradition Partnership, the dark money group that illegally coordinated with Wittich and other legislators and went all the way to the United States Supreme Court to challenge Montana’s campaign finance laws. Brown appears in the film to voice blanket opposition to any limits on campaign spending or contributions.

“James Brown made a name for himself attacking Montana’s constitution and the integrity of our elections,” said MDP Communications Director Nathan Stein. “Tune in tonight to hear Brown shill for dark money and corporate interests!”
