Throwback Thursday: Gianforte Sued Montana to Block Public Stream Access

Helena, MT – This Thursday, we’re looking back on one of Greg Gianforte’s greatest hits — his failed lawsuit against the state of Montana to block public stream access.

Greg Gianforte often touts his support for public lands, despite a long history of outright hostility towards defending them. His shameless attempt to take Montana to court in order to block public stream access shows his true colors — Gianforte will always put the interests of corporations, developers, and wealthy individuals like himself above protecting Montanans’ access to their public lands.

“As the richest member of Congress, he doesn’t care about ensuring that Montanans can hunt and fish on public lands — as long as he and his swamp friends can buy access, he’s fine,” said MDP Chair Robyn Driscoll. “When it comes to keeping public lands in public hands, we can trust Greg Gianforte to do one thing — look out for himself.”
