Rosendale-Backed Tax Law Will Raise Montanans’ Health Insurance Premiums

Helena – Thanks to the partisan tax law embraced by wealthy East Coast developer Matt Rosendale, Montanans will see higher health insurance premiums. Provisions in the law will raise premiums by nearly 20 percent in Montana.

The bad news doesn’t end there. Rosendale’s favorite tax law will kick 46,000 Montanans off their health insurance, in addition to threatening cuts to our Medicare and Social Security.

Not only does the law that Rosendale vocally backs hand out tax cuts to big corporations and the wealthiest 1% while tens of thousands of Montanans will see tax increases, it is also estimated to increase the federal deficit by $2 trillion, forcing our kids and grandkids to dig us out.

Rosendale’s continued support for a bill that will force Montanans to pay more for their health care and drastically deepen our nation’s deficit shows he lacks any spine and is incapable of standing up for working Montanans. Instead, he’s only got eyes for the out-of-state billionaires propping up his campaign, the only ones that stand to benefit from the partisan law.
