Helena – Even as more and more evidence piles up that the partisan tax law is bad for American workers while benefiting the wealthiest and big corporations, wealthy East Coast developer Matt Rosendale still backs the law that is estimated to add more than $1.5 trillion to the federal deficit by 2020.
The law Rosendale supports will:
- Increase taxes on tens of thousands of working Montanans
- Hand the top 1% wealthiest Montanans and corporations most of the bill’s tax cuts
- Create an estimated $15 million dollar hole in Montana’s state budget next year.
Under the Rosendale-backed law, 53% of Americans will see tax increases.
Meanwhile, top executives and rich shareholders are seeing massive gains as corporations use “much of the money” to buy back their own shares, instead of investing in the economy through things like research and development, and hiring.
Rosendale likes to talk a big game about wanting to reduce the deficit but his support for the tax law that will spike our country’s deficit and raises taxes on Montanans proves it’s all for show and that all he’s looking out for are his billionaire backers who profit on the backs of Montanans.
