Helena – Outside special interest dark money groups have already been pouring in millions of dollars into Montana to try to buy a Senate seat. In the past three months alone, special interest groups funded by Illinois billionaire Dick Uihlein have doled out $1.2 million in political ads in an attempt to buy wealthy East Coast developer Matt Rosendale a seat.
Last week, another special interest group indicated they were willing to spend up to seven figures to get Rosendale through the primary. It’s clear these out-of-state super PACs are desperate to prop up Rosendale because they know he will do their bidding.
