Montana Democrats Release New Ad, Website, Highlighting “No Show” Greg Gianforte’s Truant Record in Congress
As Montana’s Sole Representative, Gianforte Skipped More Votes Than 93% of Congress

Helena, MT – The Montana Democratic Party tonight released a new ad and website about “No Show” Greg Gianforte, highlighting the Republican gubernatorial nominee’s failure to show up for Montanans in Congress.

As Montana’s sole representative, Gianforte skipped more votes than 93% of Congress — including a critical vote to fund the CDC, which he blew off to announce his gubernatorial campaign. Then, on February 26, the day after the CDC warned of an almost certain COVID-19 outbreak, Gianforte walked out of a hearing on CDC and NIH funding after just over 20 minutes, right as Dr. Anthony Fauci, Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar and other top officials were set to begin testifying.

This ad will be backed by an initial five-figure buy.

“While so many Montanans are worried about their jobs, Greg Gianforte couldn’t even be bothered to show up for his,” said MDP Executive Director Sandi Luckey. “In Montana, you get fired for blowing off work, not promoted.”
