Montana Democratic Legislative Leaders Roll Out “Blueprint for a Better Montana”

Blueprint Outlines Legislative Democrats’ Priorities for 2021 Session

Helena, MT – Democratic Legislative Leaders today held a press call to roll out the Blueprint for a Better Montana, a document outlining priorities for the 2021 Legislative Session and beyond. As Montana continues to weather the COVID-19 crisis, Montana Democrats enter the 2021 session clear-eyed and ready to build on successes of the 2019 session.

State Representatives Laurie Bishop and Kim Abbott, and state Senator Margie MacDonald outlined several key policy goals on health care and the economy. Montana Democrats will fight to protect Medicaid expansion, end surprise billing, and lower the cost of prescription drugs, while expanding apprenticeship opportunities, securing paid family leave, and continuing to support small businesses across the state.

“Just as we have done in the past, Montana Democrats will be guided by our values,” said State Representative Laurie Bishop. “We’ll prioritize working Montanans from every corner of the state and fight for the services and policies that protect their quality of life, today and into the future.”
