Helena, MT – Over the last two months, Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney has been safely meeting Montanans all across the Treasure State, and his work is clearly paying off. Cooney is entering the fall statistically tied with New Jersey multimillionaire Greg Gianforte, despite Gianforte spending millions of his personal fortune to attack Cooney’s record of results for Montanans.
In the last 6 weeks alone, Cooney has held events in Billings, Bozeman, Glendive, Great Falls, Havre, Helena, Lewistown, Livingston, Miles City, Missoula, and Sidney.
Cooney has also released his plans for the future of Montana’s economy, education, health care, and public lands, on top of his proposed Constitutional Initiative to ban a sales tax in Montana.
Meanwhile, Greg Gianforte has not done a public campaign event since July 17th.
Congress is on vacation, and Gianforte rarely shows up for work anyways, so #WheresGreg?
“Instead of showing up and meeting Montanans where they are, No Show Greg is hiding from voters behind millions of dollars in baseless attack ads,” said MDP Deputy Communications Director Matt Fidel. “Mike Cooney knows that Montanans expect candidates to earn their support by actually showing up. Gianforte should take notes.”
