Mike Cooney Announces Vision for Montana’s Workers and Labor Unions, While Greg Gianforte Touts Tax Cuts for Millionaires
Gianforte voted for nearly $2 trillion in deficit spending for tax cuts for millionaires like himself

Helena, MT – This morning, Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney and Rep. Casey Schreiner stood with candidate for Attorney General Raph Graybill to announce their plans for defending unions, protecting Montana’s working women and men, and ensuring safe working conditions, good benefits, and competitive wages for all Montana workers.

Meanwhile, Greg Gianforte has spent his time in Congress voting to explode the federal deficit by $2 trillion and saddle generations of Montanans with debt, all to pay for lavish tax cuts for millionaires like himself. After all, Greg Gianforte believes that “the fairest tax is the one you pay, and I don’t.”

“Mike Cooney has fought for working families throughout his entire career, and he’s got a record of results to show for it. Now, he’s doubling down on his commitment, announcing his vision for a New Day for Workers in Montana,” said Deputy Communications Director Matt Fidel. “On the other hand, Greg Gianforte went to Washington D.C. to carry water for millionaires like himself, while sticking working Montanans with the bill. Working families deserve a governor who will fight for them, not multimillionaires like Gianforte.”
