Maryland Matt Rosendale – All Hat, No Cattle
Helena, MT – As Kathleen Williams continues to highlight her long record of partnering with and delivering for Montana farmers and ranchers, Matt Rosendale’s long record of impersonating a rancher is catching up with him. Over the course of his political career, Rosendale has claimed countless times to be a rancher — but reports and public records show that he has never owned any cattle or ranched his own land.

In 2018, Rosendale frequently described himself as a rancher in his stump speechesop-edspaid advertisementssocial media accounts, and press releases. And when he was asked what separated him from his GOP opponents, his response was, “Piece of cake. Rancher.”

Even while touting his so-called ranching “credentials,” though, Rosendale and his campaign repeatedly refused to answer any questions about his lack of cattle and false rancher claims.

“Matt Rosendale is all hat, no cattle,” said MDP Communications Director Nathan Stein. “Since he set foot in Montana, he’s tried to convince Montanans that he’s not just a wealthy, out-of-touch, east coast real estate developer who moved here to jump start his political career. Someone should tell him that it isn’t working.”
