ICYMI: Gov. Greg Gianforte Funds Extreme Anti-Abortion Pregnancy Centers While in Office

Helena, MT – Heartland Signal is reporting Governor Greg Gianforte has donated millions of dollars in personal funds to anti-abortion organizations and anti-choice pregnancy centers in Montana and across the country while serving as an elected politician in Montana. Many of these organizations and pregnancy centers are known for disseminating dangerous, debunked misinformation to women in crisis seeking information and reproductive care.
According to disclosure documents tracked by ProPublica, Gianforte has donated at least $4 million to so-called “crisis pregnancy centers” and anti-abortion organizations around the country between 2018-2022. He donated at least $1.9 million since becoming Governor.
Gianforte donated to various anti-abortion centers in Montana including Echoz (Great Falls), LaVie Health (Billings), Hope Pregnancy Ministries (Kalispell), Outreach Clinic of Miles City, and ZoeCare (Bozeman), as well as Montana-based anti-abortion organizations including Montana Family Foundation (Laurel) and Inspire Pregnancy Outreach Center (Lewistown).
“Governor Greg Gianforte’s political career is marked by his dogged efforts to strip away a woman’s freedom and right to make decisions about her own reproductive healthcare,” said Montana Democratic Party Executive Director Sheila Hogan. “Gianforte is not afraid to put his own money where his mouth is, and will continue to push his unconstitutional and dangerous agenda on Montanans so long as he’s in office.”
