Fagg Thinks “Talking to CEOs” Will Solve Wage Inequality

Helena – Today is Equal Pay Day, and a dark reminder of how dangerous the GOP Senate candidates’ policies on wage equality are.

At the first GOP primary debate last month, ethically challenged Russell Fagg answered a question about what he would do to address the gender wage gap, saying, “I don’t believe in laws. I don’t think that’s the solution. … I believe that talking to CEOs and letting them know the importance of equal wages for equal work and just really talking to them about the importance of that…”

Keep in mind that these are the same CEOs of the big corporations being boosted by the tax scam Fagg supports, while working Montanans get hurt.

Fagg also said on the radio earlier this year that he doesn’t think private businesses should be compelled to pay women the same as men for the same work, and that it’s not necessary.

And let’s not forget that wealthy East Coast developer Matt Rosendale helped kill the Montana Paycheck Fairness Act.

Instead of protecting Montana’s working families and women, Fagg and Rosendale have proven they will not help prevent pay discrimination or promote equal pay for equal work—but have no problem catering to corporate executives and big corporations only concerned with their bottom line.
