Despite Report Showing “Significant Delivery Delays” for Prescription Drugs, Daines Still Refuses to Fight For Montanans Who Rely on USPS
Helena, MT – In a new interview, Senator Steve Daines described the U.S. Postal Service as “a life and death kind of service.” However, just a few days ago, Daines shrugged off potential delays in Postal Service operations as a “non-exist[ent] problem.” These comments came despite a recent report showing that changes made to the U.S. Postal Service have resulted in “significant delivery delays for mail-order prescription drugs, putting the health of Americans in danger.”

The USPS is a critical lifeline for Montana’s rural communities, tribal nations, veterans and seniors — but Daines won’t fight for the Montanans who rely on the USPS because he sees delivery delays as a “non-exist[ent] problem.”

“Steve Daines’ knows that Montanans rely on the Postal Service for critical needs,” said MDP Communications Advisor Christina Wilkes. “But Daines is too busy looking out for himself and his reelection campaign, while the people of Montana are paying the price for his inaction.”
