Daines Throws Criticisms at Bipartisan USPS Funding Bill While Enjoying A Month-Long Summer Vacation
Helena, MT — Over the weekend, Senator Steve Daines came out against a bipartisan bill in the U.S. House of Representatives that would provide critical funding to the U.S. Postal Service. While members of both parties in the House of Representatives are actually doing their jobs and taking action to solve this crisis, Steve Daines is back at home, enjoying his month-long summer vacation.

This isn’t the only time Steve Daines has failed to stand up for the USPS. Throughout his time in Congress, Daines has voted against several budgets that would have provided millions of dollars in funding to the agency, and skipped out on a committee hearing where the Postal Service’s dire financial conditions were discussed.

“Steve Daines has proven that he’s all talk, and no action when it comes to actually protecting the USPS,” said MDP Communications Director Nathan Stein. “The Postal Service is an essential resource for so many Montana seniors, veterans, and rural communities — they deserve a senator who takes action instead of lobbing criticisms while on vacation.”
