Adding insult to injury, Daines took off for a month-long vacation in the middle of this unprecedented crisis – despite failing to pass additional pandemic relief as Americans are struggling without the federal emergency unemployment lifeline Senate Republicans let expire or ensuring desperately-needed funding for the Postal Service ahead of an election where millions are expected to vote by mail due to the pandemic.
“If Daines’ phony concern for the gutting of the U.S. Postal Service was real, he’d be in Washington D.C. fighting for funding, not taking a month-long vacation,” said MDP Communications Advisor Christina Wilkes. “But once again, Daines is more concerned with staying in the good graces of party leaders like Mitch McConnell rather than fighting for Montanans.”
