Helena, Mont. – Sen. Steve Daines today missed a total of six roll call votes in order to attend a mid-week political fundraiser.
According to local news reports, Daines was in Billings today to attend a campaign fundraiser.
“I can’t imagine anything more important for Sen. Daines to be doing than the job Montanans sent him to Washington, D.C. to do,” said Montana Democratic Party Executive Director Monica Lindeen. “But instead of doing his job in the U.S. Senate, Daines missed a total of six votes in a single day so he could attend a campaign fundraiser in the middle of the work week – more evidence he’d rather spend time with campaign donors instead of representing Montanans in our nation’s capital.”
