Helena, MT – This weekend, Republican candidate for Attorney General Austin Knudsen attended a series of fundraisers off the Georgia coast. These parties occurred over the same weekend that Georgia surpassed more than 252,000 COVID cases, including nearly 100 new deaths in 24 hours.
As Montana continues to weather the COVID-19 pandemic, and the economic and public health impacts it has brought, Austin Knudsen owes answers to the following questions:
- Did Knudsen and attendees adhere to social distancing?
- Did Knudsen and attendees wear masks?
- Is Knudsen self-quarantining upon returning to Montana?
“The Montana Attorney General is trusted with upholding the public safety of all Montanans — in an unprecedented pandemic, that means protecting public health too,” said MDP Communications Director Nathan Stein. “If Montanans can’t trust Knudsen to take the bare minimum steps necessary to protect our communities, how can they trust him to keep our communities safe if elected?”
