As GOP Advances Court Case to Gut Affordable Care Act, Daines Remains Committed to Sabotaging Montanans’ Health Care
Helena, MT – Republican Attorneys General submit briefs in support of their Supreme Court case to strike down the Affordable Care Act this week. Yet, Senator Steve Daines has refused to denounce the ongoing partisan lawsuit and remains steadfast in his commitment to gutting Montanans’ health care.

And although Daines won’t denounce the latest Republican attempt to kill the ACA, he’s made his views on the landmark legislation abundantly clear. Despite the ongoing pandemic, Daines recently said he will “continue to fight to repeal” the ACA and he has called stories of Montanans’ benefiting from ACA protections  “exceptions.”

These so-called ‘exceptions’ refer to:

“If it were up to Steve Daines, thousands of Montanans would get thrown off their health insurance in a moment of unprecedented uncertainty for our economy and public health,” said MDP Communications Advisor Christina Wilkes. “In these unpredictable times, Montanans deserve a Senator who will fight for affordable and accessible health care, not one who tries to undermine it.”
