As Cooney Rolls Out Plan to “Keep Montana Healthy,” Gianforte Works to Strip Health Care Away From Thousands of Montanans
Helena, MT – Earlier today, Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney released his “Keep Montana Healthy” plan, outlining big, bold steps he plans to take as Governor to reduce the cost of prescription drugs and increase access to healthcare for those who need it.

Greg Gianforte’s health care plan? “Dismantle” the Affordable Care Act and eliminate Montana’s Medicaid expansion, which would strip health coverage from 112,000 Montanans, and gut protections for Montanans with pre-existing conditions. Just last month, Gianforte continued his assault on Montanans’ access to quality, affordable health care by voting in support of the Republican lawsuit seeking to overturn the Affordable Care Act.

“Mike Cooney’s plan to ‘Keep Montana Healthy’ will expand access to health care and slash the cost of prescription drugs for all Montanans, just like he’s done his entire career,” said MDP Deputy Communications Director Matt Fidel. “Greg Gianforte’s big idea for health care is to rip it away from thousands of Montanans, even in the middle of a pandemic. That’s just wrong for Montana families.”
