After Running Mate Praised “Right-to-Work,” New Jersey Millionaire Greg Gianforte Is Attacking Workers to Raise Money
Gianforte’s anti-union fundraising appeal comes after his running mate pledged that Gianforte would sign Right-to-Work legislation in his first term

Helena, MT – The Billings Gazette is reporting that New Jersey millionaire Greg Gianforte is attacking Montana working families and organized labor to raise money for his stagnant campaign for governor.

In a fundraising appeal sent this week, Gianforte’s campaign said, “Mike Cooney promised that he would NOT sign any right-to-work legislation and force hardworking Montanans like you to join unions and pay dues against your will… Greg Gianforte believes that you should have the right to make your OWN decisions instead of someone telling you how to live your life.”

The email comes just one week after MTN News reported on a new, damning audio recording, during which Kristen Juras – Greg Gianforte’s gubernatorial running mate – was caught praising so called Right-to-Work legislation, and assuring voters that it would be a first term agenda item for the Gianforte administration, despite Gianforte’s laughable claim to support unions.

“Greg Gianforte is more than happy to throw Montana’s working families under the bus to suck up to his special interest, out-of-state donors,” said MDP Deputy Communications Director Matt Fidel. “Make no mistake about it – if New Jersey millionaire Greg Gianforte is elected, Montana worker’s rights would be first on the chopping block.”
