(Helena, MT) — Montana Democratic Party Chair Robyn Driscoll today released the following statement announcing Rep. Moffie Funk would serve as Interim Party Executive Director:
“As the Montana Democratic Party works toward electing Democrats up and down the ballot in 2022, I’m pleased to announce that Representative Moffie Funk will be joining the Party as Interim Executive Director, ensuring a smooth transition for our candidates, staff, and Party members until the search for a permanent ED is concluded,“ said Montana Democratic Party Chair Robyn Driscoll. “Under Moffie’s leadership, we are going to continue to build our Party and recruit candidates who will fight for Montana families, create good-paying jobs, and ensure our state’s economy works for all of us.”
“I am both honored and excited to fill this interim position,” said Representative Moffie Funk. “We are building our bench, recruiting candidates up and down the ballot and reaching out to all Montanans. As we look to 2022 and 2024, I am confident that we can return Montana to our shared values.”
Moffie, the daughter of a foreign service officer, grew up mostly overseas. She received her BA in Political Science from UC Berkeley and her Teacher’s Licensure from Carroll College. Moffie was a middle school social studies teacher in Montana’s public schools and was the 2014 Montana History Teacher of the Year.
