The 2020 Democratic National Convention will be held August 17th-20th in Milwaukee, Wis. The National Convention is where Democrats from across the country come together and formally choose the Democratic Party’s nominees for President and Vice President of the United States of America for the 2020 General Election. Montana will send a total of 25 delegates to the National Convention this summer. How those delegates are awarded will depend on the results of Montana’s Primary Election on June 2, 2020.

Want to represent your state to the nation as a party leader?
The number of delegates awarded to each presidential candidate is determined proportionally by the percentage of votes each candidate receives in the primary. Montana’s Democratic delegates are then elected at the State Convention in Helena on June 6, 2020. The Montana Democratic Party has set diversity and representation goals for our delegation, as we want our delegation to reflect Montana’s unique and diverse population. Join us as a delegate to the National Democratic Convention as the grassroots of the Democratic Party chooses their nominee for President!
